About sade

Hey, beautiful! My name is Sade (Sha-Day). And if you’re wondering, YES, I was named after the singer SADE. Famous for her hits “Smooth Operator” and “Lover’s Rock.” I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. I’m a proud Midwesterner. And my favorite season was FALL way before Instagram made it a trend.

Speaking of Instagram, that may be why you’re here. Welcome! And thank you for checking out my cozy little corner of the internet. I’m mostly known for my weekly meal preps and deliciously affordable, easy-to-make recipes!

Like many of you, my favorite pastime is strolling the aisles of Target as well as the health food section at Fresh Thyme Market. Over the years I’ve shared with you my transition to a more organic, green, cruelty free, and no fuss* plant based lifestyle.

*No Fuss: I still eat meat and diary, but I am here for a vegan meal any day of the week. I also make a mean carrot cake without butter or eggs!

My intention with all my social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) is #1 Be a Light. I smile, laugh, and see the bright-side more often than not. I thank God that’s easy for me. I know for others that’s annoying or difficult. #2 Show Up. Within the last 5 years or so I have learned how to show up for myself in a way that I've always dreamed of. What this looks like is: Waking up an hour earlier to have ME Time and Time with God. Ditching diets and being hyper focused on the scale and instead moving my body out of love and respect. Period. No matter my jean size and not for any upcoming special event. Because everyday is special. Eating foods that bless my body as well as enjoying the ones that don’t necessarily… guilt free. And last but not least, practicing daily gratitude. #3 Share, Connect, Learn. If I’ve got a helpful tool or resource, I’m sharing it. Sisterhood and community are everything. And creating content has formed so many amazing friendships that I’ve been able to learn and grow from.

I’m “On the Run” or in other words in pursuit of the best version of me: authentic and without apology. And I hope to inspire you on your journey of being the best version you. I firmly believe that God made you for a special purpose. Remember that you are worthy, you are loved, and that you can do anything!

xoxo
